All students will be examined in the hall .
4 Exam Format: one student to one Chinese teacher
5 What will be tested:
1) Reading aloud a short passage ( with expression) 10%
( a short story which is not from the textbook, but all the words in the story have been learned )
2) Picture Conversation 10%
A picture will be provided. Students need to know how to talk about what the characters are doing and to be able to tell what the actions are right or wrong , then justify with reasons.
Since they are only p2 boys, the reason can be simple, just like “因为他这样做很危险”,or " 因为她没有专心听课。” But if they can elaborate more, it definitely will be better. For example, "他这样做很危险。路上的汽车可能会撞到他,他就会受伤。”
3) Conversation 10%
The examiner will conduct a conversation with the boy according to the theme of the picture provided. The questions can be asking the boy's own experience or his opinions or feelings. For example, if the picture provided is about road safety. then the examiner may ask questions like the following:
Q1 你走路时怎样过马路?为什么?
or
Q2 我们可以怎样安全地过马路?
Q3 如果你是那个女孩,你会怎样过马路?
Question1 is about the boy's own experience.
Question2/3 is asking the boy's opinion.
Teacher has started to conduct the oral practice in class, and asked students to bring the worksheet home for practice at home.
